Concrete Repair & Resurfacing

Cracked, pitted, or flaking concrete does not always mean you have to tear it out. In a lot of cases we can repair the damage and resurface the slab so it looks clean and even again, for a fraction of the cost of replacement. We fix spalling, cracks, pitting, and pop-outs, then resurface worn surfaces with an overlay that bonds to your existing concrete. Driveways, garage floors, patios, walkways, and steps across the KC metro.

Fix It Before You Replace It

Tearing out and re-pouring concrete is expensive and slow. Before you go that route, it is worth having someone who knows concrete take a look. A lot of the damage we see is on the surface, and surface damage can be repaired and resurfaced for a lot less than a full replacement.

I will give you a straight answer. If the slab is too far gone or has failed underneath, I will tell you so instead of selling you a patch that will not hold. But when repair and resurfacing is the right move, it can make tired concrete look and function like new again.

What We Repair

  • Spalling and flaking — the chipped, peeling surface that freeze-thaw and salt leave behind
  • Cracks — from hairline to wide, cleaned out and filled so they stop spreading
  • Pitting and pop-outs — the rough, holey surface that catches dirt and keeps getting worse
  • Worn, uneven surfaces — slabs that have lost their finish and need to be brought back to a clean, even top

Resurfacing: A New Top on Old Concrete

Resurfacing puts a fresh, thin layer of concrete overlay over your existing slab. After we repair the damage and prep the surface, we apply an overlay that bonds to the old concrete and gives you a clean, even, new-looking top without the cost and disruption of ripping everything out. It is a great fit for worn driveways, dated patios, and tired garage floors.

If you want more than just plain gray, a resurfaced slab can also be finished with color or a decorative texture, so you can upgrade the look at the same time you fix the surface. Ask about it on your quote and I will show you the options.

How We Do It

  1. Assess the slab We look at what is actually wrong, surface damage versus structural failure, so you get an honest recommendation instead of a one-size patch.
  2. Clean and prep We clean the surface and open up cracks and damaged spots so repairs and overlays bond instead of sitting loose on top.
  3. Repair the damage We fill cracks, rebuild spalled and pitted areas, and get the surface sound and ready.
  4. Resurface if needed When the look calls for it, we apply an overlay to bring the whole surface back to a clean, even finish, with color or texture if you want it.
  5. Seal it We can finish with a sealer to protect the repair from the salt, water, and freeze-thaw that caused the damage in the first place.

Repair or Replace? An Honest Answer

Not every slab can be saved, and I will never pretend otherwise. Repair and resurfacing is the right call when the damage is on the surface and the slab underneath is still sound. When concrete has heaved, sunk, or failed from below, a patch is just throwing money at it, and I will tell you that to your face. Either way, the free quote gets you a real answer on where your concrete stands.
